How do you clean coir (natural fibre) carpets.?
Briefly, Dyson stopped working, husband took it apart, daughter made patterns on carpet with filter of Dyson, 14 black circles in middle of carpet. Rented house. HELP.

You may have to get it steam cleaned for a thorough clean. Im not sure exactly. There are some good blogs and articles on this site too on how to remove wine from carpet, permanent marker etc.

My Dyson Vacuum Cleaner DC17 Allergy model pulls out a lot of carpet fiber. Will it ruin my carpet eventually?
I bought a Dyson DC17 vacuum cleaner (Allergy model) and each time I use it on my wall to wall carpet, it pulls out a lot of carpet fiber. There is no height adjustment feature and I am afraid it will eat up my carpet eventually. I have a nice expensive carpet and I am afraid this vac cleaner will ruin it.
Any advise?
There is a brush control button next to the on/off switch. You can turn the brushbar off when you vacuum, if you are concerned about your carpet.
If it is new carpet, you will see quite a few fibers, especially in a Dyson. This should taper off the more you use it. If it doesn’t, then turn off the brushbar.
