I don't know anyone who has one or knows someone else with one,that uses it on carpet. You can buy them all over now Best Buy HSN I have even seen them at Kohl's.

I heard just recently that they are better today than they were first time they were first introduced a few years back, I believe you might be quite surprised with their performance now, I myself do not own one at present but plan on buying one soon Good Luck !

I've got a Roomba. It works well on wood, vinyl or linoleum floors. 90% of my house has hardwood floors and it works great at picking up dirt and hair.

I have a dog that sheds a lot and her hairs are about 2 – 3 inches long, which is long enough to wind up over time around the wheels and brushes of the roomba, so these periodically have to be cleaned out. This still beats sweeping every day.

When it comes to cleaning carpet, my roomba only does so on the low pile foot mats inside the front and back doors. It does this fairly well, but I can tell it wouldn't be as effective on thicker carpets.

Basically it's a floor sweeper with a minimal amount of vacuum suction. I like mine quite a bit and would recommend it to anyone who has a lot of wood or linoleum flooring to clean, not so much to someone whose home is carpeted.

it only works if you have a COMPLETELY level house. Like if you have any dividers between carpets going from room to room it wont work

I would certainly love to know this! It seems very popular and one day I seen a demenstration in a store and it seemed to work good! I would love to have the scuba too the one that scrubs floors because I have a huge kitchen and i hate mopping it!!

A good friend of mine has one. She says it works very well. She has hard wood floors, no carpet, is single with no children, only 1 dog who is trained to go outside. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think people with children or carpets would find this to be a useful product for an entire home. Consumer Reports says it doesn't work well on carpet, doesn't have enough suction. Good Luck & Blessings

I've seen the infomercial, and saw one at the home depot and a display, but it looked a little ragged and it was only going over office type carpet. Not sure how is would do in the real world with real dirt and pet hairs, etc.
