DC07 All Floors

Why are Dysons so LOUD?

I have had a DC07 for 2 years and it's great to use but when I'm using it it's so loud that I can barely even hear myself if I'm singing, say. I live in the middle of a terrace so it's probably really loud through the walls too.

Is this high rate of decibels typical of the Dyson? Or does anyone know which vaccuum cleaners are powerful but not so loud?

idk but i've seen commercials for those and aren't they supposed to be completely quiet?
